Kansas State women’s tennis wrapped up action at the Drake Jamboree on Sunday at the Knapp Tennis Center. The Wildcats ended the weekend with 15 overall singles wins and five doubles wins.

• K-State tallied two singles wins on the day, led by senior Amina St. Hill and sophomore Iva Bago.
• St. Hill improved her winning streak to a career-high four straight matches with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nebraska’s Katerina Matysova. St. Hill finished her weekend with a perfect 4-0 record.
• Bago improved her winning streak to a career-best five straight matches, as her opponent – Ashley Thai of Bradley - retired on Sunday trailing 6-4, 3-0. Bago also closed out the weekend with a 4-0 record.

• The Wildcats secured one doubles win on Sunday, as head coach Danielle Steinberg mixed and matched her duos on the final day.
• K-State’s win came from the tandem of sophomores Riley Nizzi and Maria Panaite.
• The pair of Nizzi and Panaite defeated Adrienne Jensen and Lea Kozulic of Drake, 8-7.

• As a team, K-State is now 35-30 in singles action this fall and 11-15 in doubles.
• Bago’s current five-match win streak is a new career-high and the longest winning streak this season by a Wildcat.
• Bago’s record this fall is now 7-2, while her career record is 18-22.
• St. Hill’s current four-match winning streak is a new career-high.
• St. Hill’s career singles record improves to 40-44.
• St. Hill owns a 4-3 singles record this fall.
• Nizzi finished the weekend with a perfect 4-0 record in doubles. She went 3-0 with Livia Cirnu on Friday and Saturday and won with Panaite on Sunday.
• The doubles win on Sunday was the fifth of Nizzi’s career.
• The doubles pair of Panaite and Nizzi is now 2-1 overall and 1-0 this season. The last time they played together was Sept. 21, 2013.

• “Overall, we had a positive weekend. We certainly saw improvement from Friday to Sunday in both singles and doubles. We certainly have areas to address specifically on the doubles court, but we were happy with the strides we made.”
