K-State Tennis to Host Season Kick-Off

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s tennis will host its annual season kick-off event on Friday night at Body First Tennis and Fitness Center. The event will take place from 6-10 p.m., and is open to the entire K-State athletic department free of charge.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the squad will host a kids’ hour for children grades eight and under taking part in on-court activities with members of the K-State women’s tennis team. Then from 7-10 p.m., is a social and optional play with women’s tennis student-athletes as your doubles partner. The action on the court is open to players of all levels and competitive interest.

K-State opened the 2011 spring season last weekend with a pair of victories, as the Wildcats defeated New Mexico and Drake. This is the second straight season K-State has opened the campaign with a 2-0 record.
