Weather Puts Freeze on Wildcats? Match with Cyclones

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State’s Big 12 conference opener at Iowa State has been postponed due to poor weather conditions head coach Steve Bietau announced Thursday.

The Wildcats (2-4, 0-0 Big 12) were set to open Big 12 conference play with the Cyclones (4-3, 0-3 Big 12) Thursday afternoon in Ames, but blizzard like conditions across the state of Iowa made travel impossible.

A make-up date between the teams has not been determined but a decision is expected early next week. K-State will still travel to Columbia, Mo., on Saturday and open Big 12 competition with the Missouri Tigers (4-3, 0-2 Big 12) at 4 p.m.
