K-State Falls to Sooners

NORMAN, Okla. Kansas State picked up a singles win and a doubles victory on Sunday afternoon, but Oklahoma captured the match with a 6-1 decision. The Wildcats have dropped seven straight matches.


K-State (3-9, 0-5 Big 12) freshman Nina Sertic won her second straight singles match with a 6-3, 6-0 decision over Kristina Radan at number three singles. The newcomer from Zagrab, Croatia is now 6-8 since joining the Wildcats in January.


The doubles pair of freshman Mariya Slupska and junior Natasha Vieira captured a win at number three doubles with an 8-4 win over Peta Maree Lancaster and Kristina Radan. This was the first time the pair of Slupska and Vieira has taken the court together this season.


Kansas State continues its five-match road trip next weekend at Texas Tech on April 3 beginning at 3 p.m. The Wildcats will also play at No. 3-ranked Baylor on Sunday, April 5 at 12 p.m.
