Last weekend, K-State (8-8, 2-0 Big 12) saw its five-match home win streak ended with a pair of losses to No. 18 Oklahoma, 6-1, and No. 23 Oklahoma State, 5-2.

Junior Amina St. Hill was a bright spot for the Wildcats over the weekend, as she won both of her matches at number five singles. The product of Gothenburg, Sweden, registered a new personal season-high for singles wins with her 14th and 15th wins. The victories also improved St. Hill’s Big 12 record this season to a spotless 4-0.

For the season, senior Petra Niedermayerova has led K-State from the top of the lineup. Ranked No. 56 in the national Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings, Niedermayerova owns a team-leading record of 21-6 in singles including a 12-2 record this spring.

Niedermayerova, a two-time ITA All-American and the three-time All-Big 12 First Team selection, is the first Wildcat to reach 100 career singles wins and owns a career record of 101-39 (.721), which includes a mark of 63-16 from the top position in the K-State lineup.

K-State has been paced in doubles action this spring by the tandem of Niedermayerova and St. Hill. Niedermayerova and St. Hill are to 7-3 this spring. In her career, Niedermayerova is second in the program’s history with a mark of 72-47 (.605). She needs two doubles wins to secure K-State’s career doubles record.

Following this weekend’s matches, the Wildcats will travel to the Lone Star State to face No. 56 TCU on April 11 at 2 p.m., in Fort Worth and No. 32 Texas Tech on Sunday, April 13 at 12 p.m., in Lubbock.
