Wildcats Tripped Up by No. 4 Baylor

WACO, Texas Kansas State faced its highest ranked opponent in a year, as No. 4 Baylor defeated the Wildcats, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Baylor Tennis Center. The Wildcats have now dropped nine straight matches.

 

For the first time this season, K-State (3-11, 0-7 Big 12) faced a singles lineup that featured multiple ranked opponents. Baylor (15-4, 6-0 Big 12) swept through five of the six singles positions with junior Natasha Vieira winning the second set of her match with Karolina Filipiak at number six singles.

 

Kansas State will conclude its season-high five-match road trip on Wednesday in Lawrence, Kan., as the Wildcats take on Kansas at 3 p.m.
