Wildcats Notch Two More Wins at Hoosier Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Kansas State doubles teams added two more wins on the final day of the Indiana Hoosier Classic, ending a strong weekend for the Wildcats.


Viviana Yrureta and Katerina Kudlackova earned their second doubles win of the weekend and Natasha Vieira and Tereza Prochazkova won in round robin play to help Kansas State win a combined 12 matches throughout the three-day invitational tournament.


Yrureta and Kudlackova defeated Murray State’s sister tandem, Rachael and Anna Lask, 8-5, to begin play on Sunday but fell to Notre Dame’s Colleen Reilley and Kali Krisik in the fifth place match of the doubles main draw.


Vieira and Prochazkova also opened the morning with a win, cruising by Notre Dame’s Bailey Louderback and Kellie O’Flynn, 8-0, but were defeated by Indiana’s Marah Calvo and Erin Clark to close out round robin play.


Kansas State will play next at the ITA Central Region Tournament in Tulsa, starting on Oct. 18.
