MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s tennis will host a unique event at Body First Tennis & Fitness Center on Saturday, Nov. 5, called the USTA/ITA Campus Showdown. This is will be the second straight year K-State has hosted this event.

“I love the development opportunities the USTA/ITA Campus Showdown provides,” said Kansas State head women’s tennis coach Steve Bietau. “Everyone who participates benefits from playing outside the comfort zone of their regular routine. College players get some extra match play and juniors get a chance to test themselves in a college tennis environment.”

The Campus Showdown is a one-day, short format tournament open to juniors, college players, professionals and adults. Singles players play up to four sets of singles using a round-robin draw. Set tiebreaks are played at 5-all in all matches.

The entry fee for the event is $15 for singles. These tournaments are non-sanctioned, non-ranking events.
