K-State to Host USTA/ITA Campus Showdown

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State women's tennis will host a unique event at Cottonwood Racquet Club on Sunday, Jan. 3, called the USTA/ITA Campus Showdown.

"These events are a great opportunity to give juniors and anyone who wants to play collegiate tennis, the opportunity and exposure to interact and play against college players," said Kansas State head women's tennis coach Steve Bietau. "This is something I think everyone will benefit from."

The Campus Showdown is a one-day, short format tournament open to juniors, college players, professionals and adults. Draws are compass draws for both singles and doubles matches being one set tiebreaker at 5-5. Events can be men's, women's and coed.

The entry fee for the event is $30 and includes singles and doubles. These tournaments are non-sanctioned, non-ranking events.
