Kansas State Quotes
Head Coach Suzie Fritz
On her team’s effort…
“I was excited about 17 blocks. I thought we did some nice things at the net. We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into that, so I thought that was a positive. I thought we had some people come in and show us some things. Taylor Johnson showed us some things and provided some much needed offensive production.”

On Senior Night…
“They invest a great deal. We ask a lot of them, and they invest a great deal of themselves. What we ask them to do is really difficult, far more difficult than people actually imagine. I feel that group has given us everything we could have possibly asked for. It’s hard to think you don’t to coach them for much longer.”

Senior Setter Caitlyn Donahue
On her team’s effort…
“I am so really proud of our team. I think that we gave a tremendous effort and I thought that we fought back really well game three. I am proud of my team for the effort. I still think that there are a few things that we want to tune up before we head into the tournament. I am really excited that we have another week of practice here before we head into the tournament. I think that will give us an opportunity to tighten the bolts and figure a few things out.”

On senior night
“It was so amazing. I cannot even explain my experience here at Kansas State has been a very special one. Not only because of the players, coaches, fans and the Manhattan community, but everybody has made it special place for me and I would not have wanted to spend my four years anywhere else.”

Senior Middle Blocker Alex Muff
On her emotions…
“It kind of is a weird feeling. I kind of never thought that this day would come, but I could not have asked for a better group of girls and coaching staff to share it with. I am just so thankful to have my last game here with the girls that I did and to play the way that we did.”

On the team’s defensive effort…
“I think we talked about it at practice a lot more recently about our defensive play. I think we finally stepped it up and got it going and that was good to see. That was good to see and to see some of things that we have been working on show in a match and not just in practice. I think we are excited about that and where that can go, and I think that if we can continue to improve in little areas like that, then we are going to be a team to reckon with in the tournament.”
