National Anthem Auditions Start July 21

MANHATTAN, Kan. - K-State Athletics has announced it is holding auditions to sing the National Anthem at volleyball matches again this season. Auditions will be held in Ahearn Field House from July 21-25 and July 28-August 1.

Interested singers can contact Chelsea Lawrence in Fan Experience and Sales via email at or phone at 785-532-7741 by noon on Friday, July 18 to reserve a time for an audition. If a singer is unable to schedule an audition, they can email an audition video to Lawrence. It is requested that any audition video that is sent feature the singer performing only the National Anthem.

K-State volleyball matches are the only opportunity for local singers to perform the National Anthem for a K-State athletic event. The 2014 K-State volleyball home schedule includes 13 matches, providing a number of opportunities for multiple singers to showcase their talent by honoring our country.

The home portion of K-State's season starts on Thursday, September 4 with a match against Arkansas that also kicks off the three-day K-State Invitational in Bramlage Coliseum. The Wildcats' season opener is Friday, August 29 at Green Bay.
