Jantsch Listed on Good Works Team

IRVING, Texas Kansas State junior outside hitter Jenny Jantsch was named to the 2007 Fall Good Works Team by the Big 12 Conference, as announced Wed., Oct. 31st. The team recognizes student-athletes for their community service efforts and is created during the fall, winter and spring. Each member institution selects a student-athlete for recognition based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in a Big 12-sponsored sport.


Jantsch was one of 12 conference student-athletes recognized during the fall as Kansas State’s nominee. The junior from Kansas City, Mo., is a member of the K-State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as one of 24 representatives. She has been honored the last two years as a member of the Academic All-Big 12 first team.


Jantsch has seen action in 80 games for the 12th-ranked Wildcat volleyball squad, helping the Cats attain a record of 18-6 overall, 10-4 Big 12. She averages 2.03 kills per game with a hitting percentage of .219, while sitting third on the team in service aces with 27 (0.34 sapg).
