Chipman Earns All-Big 12 Honor

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Senior middle blocker Kelsey Chipman closed her career as a Wildcat by being named to the All-Big 12 Team on Monday. Chipman received Honorable Mention by the coaches voting for the conference postseason awards, her first All-Big 12 recognition.

Chipman tallied 301 kills on the season averaging 2.66 per set while hitting .345 and averaged 1.16 blocks a set as well. She ranked third in the Big 12 both hitting percentage and blocks for the season and was second in blocks in conference matches only as well as sixth in hitting percentage.

In her final week of action, Chipman posted two shining performances with 10 blocks against Nebraska and six more against Texas Tech. She hit .400 or higher in nearly half the team's matches this season.

Chipman closed her career as one of the top blockers in school history ranking second in block assists. Her total of 463 block assists also rank ninth in Big 12 history. Her career hitting percentage of .329 ranks fifth in school history.
