Korobkova Back-to-Back All-American

MANHATTAN, Kan. Senior opposite position player Nataly Korobkova began and ended her career at Kansas State as an All-American. Korobkova was named to the AVCA All-America Third Team for the second consecutive year on Wednesday.


Korobkova averaged 3.21 kills per set this season with a .257 hitting percentage. She tallied at least 10 kills in 20 matches and reached 20 three times. Korobkova had a season-high 23 kills in a near comeback against No. 3 Texas. She also was named MVP of the Nike Portland Invitational after tallying 49 kills and hitting .333 over four matches. Among her other in-season awards, Korobkova was named to the Mortar Board Premier All-Tournament Team at Purdue to open the season. Korobkova also averaged 0.95 blocks per set.


Last season, Korobkova also was named a third team All-America player by the AVCA. By receiving the award again this year, she is the second player in K-State history to be named an All-American twice joining Liz Wegner.
