WBB Italy Game Recap: vs Italy All-Stars

After the Italy All-Stars climbed to within two, 38-36, with under five minutes to play in the third quarter, Kansas State closed the quarter with a 12-0 run to take a commanding 50-36 lead into the final period. K-State used a balanced scoring effort in the third quarter, as five Wildcats registered a basket in the frame led by four points each from freshman Breanna Lewis and senior Katya Leick. Lewis, in her first career action as a Wildcat, finished with four points and nine rebounds. Leick, also seeing her first career action as a Wildcat after transferring from Nebraska in 2011 and suffering an ACL injury in 2012, notched eight points and eight rebounds.In the final quarter, K-State would build its advantage to 24 points, 64-40 with four minutes to play, on Craig's fourth 3-pointer of the game.
