Wildcats Place Four on 2016-17 Academic All-Big 12 Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four members of the Kansas State women’s golf team – seniors Katherine Gravel-Courol, Madison Talley and Paige Nelson, along with junior Connie Jaffrey – have earned 2016-17 Academic All-Big 12 honors, the conference office announced. Gravel-Coursol, Talley and Jaffrey were all named to the first team, while Nelson was a second-team selection.
A product of Mirabel, Quebec, Gravel-Coursol received her third-straight honor as she became the 13th player in program history with three-consecutive first team accolades and the 15th Wildcat to earn academic all-conference honors in all three season to be eligible for the award. It furthers her academic success as she has also been named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Scholars Team each of the last three years.
Talley, a Clarksville, Arkansas native, was named to the first team for the first time after being a second-team selection each of the last two seasons. Jaffrey and Nelson were both first-time recipients.
The Wildcats will compete in the 2017 Big 12 Championship, Friday through Sunday, at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas.
