Wildcats Tie for Eighth as Final Round is Cancelled

DALLAS, Texas – Due to overnight rain causing the course to become unplayable, Kansas State’s final round of the Trinity Forest Invitational was cancelled Tuesday morning.

The teams completed one round on Monday and those results stood as final with the Wildcats tying for eighth place at 27-over par 315. Michigan took home the team trophy with an 18-hole score of 16-over par 304.

Three Wildcats finished in the top 20 as senior Madison Talley tied for sixth, shooting a 3-over par 75. Tash Carlsson, competing as an individual, tied for 13th at 4-over par 76 and sophomore Chloe Weir finished one stroke behind her to tie for 20th.

Monday’s round ended up being the final competition for the Wildcats this fall. K-State will open its spring schedule Feb. 26-27, at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona.
