A local agency position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the monthly closing process for the accounting and ticketing systems; reconcile the department's numerous cash, local agency, Foundation, revenue, gift-in-kind, and restricted accounts; reconcile IRS Form 941 quarterly reports, and AP/AR general ledger accounts; maintain the fixed assets database; prepare annual depreciation schedules, analyze monthly investment activity and trust statements; and assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations with fiscal year end closing, annual budget preparation, financial statements and trial balances, Federal and NCAA financial reporting documents, annual Form 990 and UBIT tax returns, and 1099-Misc. income reporting.
Bachelor's Degree with at least three years of experience in accounting, taxation and/or auditing. Applicants must possess a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint programs, along with strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently.
Master's Degree in accounting. Accounting reconciliation experience strongly preferred.
