Men's Basketball Administrative Assistant
A local agency hourly position in the men's basketball office, this position must be a self-starter who has the initiative and ability to multi-task and independently prioritize their work and has the ability to deal with confidential and/or sensitive matters with absolute discretion and confidentiality; prioritize and manage the men's basketball program calendar and schedules; coordinate special events and social functions; coordinates travel arrangements for the men's basketball staff; open and review incoming mail; answer the program's telephone and assist visitors; must have a valid driver's license and be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
Required: A Bachelor's Degree with experience as an assistant in an office setting with proven ability to work with limited supervision; a self-starter who can independently prioritize, multi-task and deal with confidential and/or sensitive matters with discretion and absolute confidentiality; must be able to deal with and respond to callers, visitors and the media in an appropriately calm and helpful manner, even in difficult and/or stressful situations. Applicants must possess a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint programs, excellent grammar and letter writing capabilities, and the ability to reply to routine correspondence independently; must also have strong communication and organizational skills, and the initiative to independently perform the duties of this position with little to no instruction once acquainted with the responsibilities of the position.
Preferred: Experience making business travel, meeting and social event arrangements, including facility scheduling, meeting/event set-up experience; and a knowledge of K-State, Big 12 and NCAA rules and regulations and supervisory experience preferred.

Women's Assistant Hunter Seat Equestrian Coach
A full-time, salaried, local agency position. Primary responsibilities are implementing and managing all phases of a NCAA Division I Equestrian Program in the Hunter Seat discipline, and includes but is not limited to coaching student-athletes in the Hunter Seat discipline, including Equitation on the Flat and over Fences; recruitment of potential student-athletes; assists with practice schedules; management and care of horses; and organization of competitions and travel. Position will also assist with daily administrative duties of the program, as well as promotions and community service, and any other responsibilities required to run a competitive NCAA Division I program.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; familiarity of equine industry, USEF rules, and USEF A-circuit experience in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation; knowledgeable of Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat; provide evidence of successful equestrian coaching and/or teaching; have a strong commitment to the academic and athletic goals of the Equestrian Program, K-State Athletics and the University; must have a valid driver's license; and must be able to travel and work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations. Experience with NCAA equestrian sport in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (formerly Varsity Equestrian) format.

Athletic Equipment Graduate Assistant
K-State Athletics invites applications for the position of Athletic Equipment Graduate Assistant. This position is based out of the Vanier Football Complex and assists with the daily football equipment operations, while learning and implementing the new equipment management goals for K-State Athletics under the direction of the Head Equipment Manager and the Football Equipment Manager.
- Assist Head Football Equipment Manager with day-to-day football operations and the day-to-day operations of the Vanier equipment room.
- Assist Head Athletic Equipment Manager enter all incoming packages into inventory system for all K-State Athletics teams, contact appropriate representatives of each sport, and perform deliveries to those respective sports.
- Communicate with sport representatives to resolve any incoming inventory problems or issues and report back to Head Athletic Equipment Manager.
- Attend football practice on a daily basis, and work home and road games by assisting with packing, loading, unloading, locker room setups, both pre- and post-game as needed.
- Assist in supervising student managers, who are under the direction of both the Head and Football Equipment Managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of three years of experience working in a collegiate athletic equipment room; Division 1 institution experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Sport Soft or similar inventory system
- Must be eligible to enroll in the K-State Graduate School, and must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate hours for the fall and spring semesters while employed in this position. Tuition is not covered by the annual stipend; however, out-of-state applicants will receive in-state tuition rates while in this position.
- Must commit to two years in this position
- AEMA certification preferred or agree do so within first year
