Helped the Wildcats to a 3-2 record during their 10-day tour of Italy and Switzerland (August 8-19)… Saw action in all 5 games with 4 starts… Averaged 5.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game… Ranked third on the team in both rebounding and assists.

As A Junior (2015-16)
Selected to the All-Big 12 Third Team as well as the Big 12 All-Defensive Team by the league coaches… Became the 13th Wildcat in school history and the first since 2014 to earn recognition to the All-Big 12 first, second or third team… Also the fifth Wildcat to be named to the All-Defensive Team since 2010 and the first since 2013.
Named the Phillips 66 co-Big 12 Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Nov. 16 after setting or tying career-highs in 7 categories in the opener vs. UMES (11/13/15), which included a then career-high 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting with 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals… It marked his first career 20-point game… Became the first Wildcat to win the weekly accolade in its first week since Michael Beasley on Nov. 12, 2007.
Was the only Wildcat to start all 33 games… Played at least 15 minutes in all 33 games, including 30 or more minutes played 25 times… Played a season-high 45 minutes in a double-overtime loss at No. 13/15 Baylor (1/20/16).

A three-year starter and lettermen at Westfield High School in Houston, Texas... Led the Mustangs to a 57-18 overall record in his last two seasons, including a 27-3 mark in Class 5A Region II District 13 play... Helped Westfield to a 31-7 record, including a 16-0 mark in district play, as a senior in 2012-13 en route to a trip to the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Class 5A Region II semifinals, where they lost to Berkner, 64-56, in overtime... Finished the year ranked No. 9 in the state of Texas and No. 37 nationally.
Named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Class 5A All-State team as well as to the Class 5A All-Region II squad as a senior... Selected most valuable player of District 13-5A and to the all-district first team... Named to the all-district and all-region squads as a junior… Invited to the TABC All-Star Game in San Antonio on May 17, 2013, where he scored 20 points in a loss in the 4A-5A-Private School All-Star Game.
Averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists per game as a senior.

Wesley Deshawn Iwundu was born Dec. 20, 1994 in Houston, Texas... Parents are Larry and Marilyn Williams... Has two older siblings (Chris and Kim).
Selected K-State over a number of other offers, including Brown, Drake, Lehigh, Nebraska, Colorado and Richmond.
Played for the AAU’s Houston Defenders, which included Aaron and Andrew Harrison – formerly of Kentucky and currently playing professionally.
Earned his bachelor’s degree in family studies and human services in May 2017.
