2001 TRACK: Indoor - Posted the team?s season-best time in the 400, 47:74, at the Alex Wilson Invitational? Competed in the 800 at the KSU Allcomers, placing third with a time of 1:56.19? Had a season-best in the 60-meter hurdles at the Husker Quad, posting a time of 8:40 in the preliminaries? Was on the 4x400 meter-relay team that finished third at the Big 12 Met? Also part of the distance medley relay team that finished sixth at the league championships.

Outdoor - Won 110-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 14:78 at the Woodman Invitational?Posted the eighth-best team season-best time in the 400-meter hurdles? Placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at the Big 12 Championships.

2000 TRACK: Indoor - Ran a team and season-best 8.45 in the 60-meter hurdles? Posted a season-best 1:12.60 in the 600 yards and 49.03 in the 400 meters.

Outdoor - Placed seventh with a team-best 15.00 at the Husker Quadrangular in the 110-meter hurdles? Also placed second at the Husker in 51.29 in the 400-meter hurdles? Ran the second leg on the 4x400 meter relay team that finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships.

MEXICO: Won 110 hurdles at Mexican National Championships with 14.27 and was second in 400 hurdles... Competed at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Guatemala City as part of Mexican National Team... Competed on 4x400 relay at IAAF World Championships in Edmonton in summer 2001.

ITESM CAMPUS: Ran hurdles and participated in the long jump for coach Laura Valenzuela of the Aztecas... Transferred after attending one year and running under supervision of coach Francisco Olivares.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 23, 1979, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose Roberto Carvajal and Ana Maria de la Rosa? Graduated from K-State with B.S. in industrial engineering in May 2001 and is now seeking master?s in manufacturing systems.
