K-State Announces June Track and Field Camp

Camp BrochureK-State AthleticsMANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Track and Field announced today it will be holding a four-day Track and Field and Cross Country camp this summer, running from June 18-21. Campers will have the opportunity to work with not only the track and field staff, but also current and former Wildcat athletes.

The camp is directed by K-State head cross country coach and assistant track, Mike Smith, with support from the Wildcat staff of Kyle Hierholzer, Vincent Johnson, Greg Watson, as well as current and former K-State student-athletes.  

Open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and /or gender), the goal of this camp is to help young track and field athletes explore their interest in the various events and to learn from the experiences of successful coaches and student-athletes. The Wildcat staff has worked with many talented athletes with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences in the sport. All campers will have the opportunity to be a part of an enjoyable atmosphere in which to learn with a great deal of one-on-one attention.

Along with a productive week of learning, resident campers will be housed in residence halls on the K-State campus and meals will be provided by K-State Dining Services. Training will take a part across a variety of K-State Track and Field facilities including the R.V. Christian Track Complex, Brandeberry workout facility and Ahearn Field House.

Cost of the camp is $375 for campers staying in the residence halls and $275 for commuters.
