Hunter earns a pair of wins; Jurica tallies four multi-hit games

Junior (2011): Pitched in 20 games, including five starts... Held a 3-0 record and a 5.27 ERA, allowing 25 earned runs on 44 hits with 14 walks and 31 strikeouts in 42.2 innings of work... Started his first four conference games, but pitched primarily out of the bullpen during the second half of the season... Also limited opponents to a .262 batting average... Earned first win of the season in a pre-determined pitch count start on Feb. 20 at Pacific, allowing a run on two hits with three strikeouts in 4.2 innings... Started at No. 5 Texas on March 20 and was in line for the win after allowing one run on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 5.0 innings... Earned the win in relief at Cal State Bakersfield on April 25 when he tossed 1.1 no-hit innings with two strikeouts... Also picked up the win against Missouri on May 7 when he allowed two runs on two hits with a walk and two strikeouts in 2.1 innings.

Sophomore (2010): Saw time in 14 games, including 11 starts... Started the final two Friday games of the season against Kansas, Texas A&M, while he also earned a Big 12 start against Texas (5/8)... Had a decent start at Kansas on May 14 when he allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in a game the Wildcats went on to win... Also picked up a win in the NCAA Regional against Grambling State as he retired 12 of the last 14 batters he faced and worked into the seventh inning... Tied his career high with seven strikeouts in a win against Chicago State on April 27, while he also registered six punch outs in a start against Creighton... Earned Second Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

Freshman (2009): Earned 11 appearances in his true freshman season, including six starts... Earned a 2-1 record with a 4.58 ERA, allowing 18 earned runs on 37 hits with eight walks and 35 strikeouts in 35.1 innings... Tied for seventh in the Big 12 with one complete game... Earned a quality start at San Diego State in his first collegiate start as he allowed one earned run on three hits in five innings... Came back to throw a complete game for his first collegiate win against Niagara, allowing one earned run on five hits with no walks and five strikeouts... Followed that with another victory against Butler, tossing seven innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits with a season-high seven strikeouts... Would have recorded the win against Wichita State as he allowed one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts, but left the game after 4.2 innings due to injury... Came back after a month off to toss 0.2 scoreless innings at Kansas.

Catalina Foothills HS: Lettered and started four seasons for the Falcons, the last under head coach Lance Robertson... Was a four-time all-region and all-southern Arizona selection... Set the school's single-season record for lowest ERA at 1.06 as a freshman and holds the career strikeout record... Went 6-2 with a 1.03 ERA and 85 strikeouts as a senior, leading his team to a league championship... Earned a 7-2 record in 2007 and struck out 85 batters in 55 innings (1.5 per inning) as he was named 2007 First Team All-Southern Arizona by the Tucson Citizen... Was drafted in the 47th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
