Bauer will work primarily out of the bullpen, seeing time in long and middle relief as well as duties in the set-up role... Arm bounces back well... Strike thrower with a very quick arm... Very intelligent player... Very adaptable to situation... Has really made improvements to be more consistent... Reminds the coaching staff of former Wildcat starter/reliever Jason Wells (1996-2000), who ranks second in school history with 68 appearances and third with over 250 innings pitched.

Made one relief appearance for the victorious White Sox during the Fall Ball World Series... Posted a 0-0 record and 4.50 ERA in two innings pitched, allowing one run (one earned) on two hits with a strikeout.
