Junior (2011): Started 60 of the team's 61 games at either second base or shortstop... His 60 starts are tied for ninth in school history... Had a career year at the plate, hitting .260 (50-of-192) with six doubles, a triple, one home run and 20 RBI... Also stole 18 bases to tie for 10th in the Big 12... Four of his stolen bases came against Long Island on March 11, tying the single-game school record... Recorded nine sacrifice hits to tie for sixth in school history and push his career total to 24, which is the school's top mark... Led the team with 17 infield singles, 10 of which were by way of bunts... Half of his season's RBI came with two outs... Recorded 175 fielding assists, which was tied for fourth in school history... Sits just outside the top 10 in career assists with 303... Recorded a double and two RBI against Western Illinois on March 6 in the second game of a doubleheader... Recorded a career best three hits against Cal State Bakersfield on May 3... Came back with his lone home run of the season against the Roadrunners on May 4... Recorded four two-steal games - at Pacific on Feb. 19, at Oklahoma State on April 29, against New Orleans on May 13 and at Kansas on May 21.

Sophomore (2010): Was K-State's every-day second baseman after serving a backup role in 2009... Started 41 games, including 16 of the final 19 contests... Was a great situational hitter as he laid down 14 sacrifice bunts, including two against Kansas in the Big 12 Championship, to tie for 17th nationally... Concluded the year with a .237 batting average with two doubles, a triple, a home run and 24 RBI... Was also 8-for-13 in stolen base attempts... Recorded seven two-hit games, had doubles against Nebraska (4/10) and BYU (4/14), hit his first career triple against Oklahoma State on March 26 and his first career home run at Oklahoma on May 1... Set a career high with four RBI against Western Michigan, while he drove in three runs against Newman... Started his first career game at shortstop against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship... Was 2-for-3 with two RBI against Washington State in the opening game of the 2010 NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

Freshman (2009): Saw action in 19 games, including four starts... Hit .174 in limited work, going 4-for-23 with one double, four RBI and three runs scored... Drew five walks... Was true on all 25 of his fielding attempts, including 17 assists... Worked two walks and tallied a season-high seven putouts against Pacific... Was 1-for-3 in a start against Nevada, driving in two runs and scoring two others... Was 1-for-2 with a RBI double and a run scored against North Dakota, while tying his season high with two fielding assists.

Russell HS: Lettered all four years as a middle infielder for the Broncos, the last under head coach Casey Garten... Led team to a pair of North Central Activities Association (NCAA) and regional championships his junior and senior season... Hit .526 with 13 extra base hits and 17 RBI as a junior, while he hit .486 with 12 extra base hits and 32 RBI as a senior... Tallied a .941 fielding percentage his final campaign... Also pitched his senior season, compiling a 5-0 record and a 2.79 ERA... Was named the Kansas Gatorade Baseball Rookie of the Year his freshman season... Also named a three-time team MVP and was selected to play on the 2007 Under Armor National Baseball Team... Lettered three seasons in both football and basketball.
