Brookings HS: Lettered for the Bobcats under head coach Rob Hirrschoff... Went 7-1 with a 0.68 ERA and 103 strikeouts as a junior, earning all-state honors and helping his team finish in third place at the state championships... Came back with a 9-2 record and a 2.23 ERA en route to a state championship and another all-state selection... Was also named all-region in 2010, 2011 and 2012... Also lettered four years in football and basketball, earning all-conference accolades in basketball on two occasions.
