Sophomore (2008): Saw action in 18 contests, including 14 starts, all as the catcher... Hit .174 in 46 at-bats with two doubles and four RBI... Improved production during conference season, hitting .231 with one double and one run driven in... Ended season on a four-game hitting streak... Threw out 9-of-28 (32-percent) base stealers on the season... Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI against Central Arkansas on April 2... Also went 1-for-3 with a double in K-State's 4-3 win at Missouri... Named to the 2008 Big 12 Conference Spring Sports Good Works Team as well as the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Redshirt Freshman (2007): Appeared in 13 games with 11 starts as the Wildcat battery... Hit .273 in 33 at bats, with one double and six RBI... Only had one passed ball in his 13 appearances behind the plate... Started season on fire, going 5-for-8 in his first two games... Had two hits against Penn State on Feb. 17 and three hits in the second game of a doubleheader against Ohio State... Drove in two runs against North Dakota State on March 10... Named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Freshman (2006): Redshirted during the 2006 season... Named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Colgan HS: A four-year letterwinner at Colgan High School in Pittsburg, Kan., under coach Mike Watt... Named team captain... Hit .385 as a sophomore, .400 as a junior with 12 doubles, and .439 as a senior with no errors for the season.
