Coaches call him the catcher of the future... Battling two experienced guys in senior Ryan Baldwin and transfer Josh Heinrich... Really has the talent to be a good receiver... Makes improvement every day... Strong work ethic and very smart... Best arm strength among the catchers... An offensive-oriented catcher... Has a lot of bat speed... Will be a power guy in the end... Could be redshirted, but the coaches would like to get him some time.

Made three appearances with one start at catcher for the Purple Sox during the Fall Ball World Series... Did not post a batting average, but did score a run... Was perfect behind the plate with nine putouts and zero errors.
