Freshman (2011): Pitched five times out of the bullpen, holding a 0-1 record and a 3.18 ERA... Surrendered two earned runs on nine hits with five walks and three strikeout in 5.2 innings of work... Saw his first career action at Creighton on April 12, allowing a hit and a walk in 0.2 innings... Came back with a scoreless inning against Cal State Bakersfield on April 26 before allowing a run on two hits and a season high two strikeouts against New Orleans on May 13... Suffered the loss against No. 13 Texas A&M in the Big 12 Championship, allowing a run in two innings... Also pitched in the NCAA Fullerton Regional against Stanford, tossing a scoreless inning.

Was a second team All-American pick by Rawlings and Max Preps... Also earned honorable mention All-American honors from Under Armour and Louisville Slugger... Hit .571 as a senior with a school-record tying 10 home runs, 10 doubles and 46 RBI... Hit a school-record 22 home runs over his four-year career... Finished senior year with a 3-0 record and a 1.45 ERA on the mound with 57 strikeouts in 33.2 innings, while he held opponents to a .169 batting average... Drafted in the 36th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
