One of seven players who could potentially start from the hill for the Wildcats... Brings a lot of experience to the mound, having spent time at Arizona State and a junior college before coming to K-State... After a slow start, Gutierrez worked his way from mid-week starter to the weekend rotation by the end of the season, including making two starts in the Big 12 Tournament... Did not throw in the fall due to some minor surgery, but he is ahead of schedule and should have no effect on his pitching ability.
