Pitching Helps Wildcats Sweep Series from Wichita State

K-State no-hits WSU for first 5.2 innings

Junior (2012): Sat time in 43 games, including starts in each of the final 33 games... Hit .316 overall with six doubles, one homer and 15 RBI, but was especially good in Big 12 play as he finished second in the conference with a .387 average... Led the team with a .357 mark over the final 33 games after hitting recording just one hit in his first 18 at-bats... Reached base via a hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in 30 of the final 33 games... Was also hit by 12 pitches during the season, which is tied for eighth in school history... Jump-started his season during a pair of starts at No. 24 Oklahoma when he went 5-for-8 with three doubles and a game-tying RBI on March 31, a game in which the Wildcats won in extra innings... Collected a season-high three hits in the series finale against the Sooners, a mark he tied on three other occasions - April 18 vs. Northern Colorado, May 13 vs. Kansas and May 19 vs. Texas Tech... Also had two RBI in the game against the Jayhawks and two more against No. 5 Baylor on April 15... Stole a pair of bases in his two-hit game against the Red Raiders... Hit his first career home run against No. 6 Baylor in the Big 12 Championship on May 25.

Palomar College:
Started one season for the Comets under head coach Buck Taylor... Earned First Team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors... Hit .331 with seven doubles and 15 RBI, while he led the squad with 28 runs scored and 10 stolen bases... Tied for fifth in the conference in runs scored and tied for sixth in stolen bases... Helped lead Palomar to a 28-11 record, including a 19-6 record in conference play to win the Pacific Coast Conference... Led team to a Southern California Super Regional appearance, going 4-for-7 with two doubles, a RBI and four runs scored during the first round of the playoffs... Also went 3-for-4 with a walk in the Comets' conference-winning game earlier in the season.

Cal State Fullerton: Played his true freshman year at Cal State Fullerton under head coach Dave Serano... Helped the Titans win the Big West Conference and advance to a Super Regional... Played in three games, going 1-for-3.

Vista HS: Lettered four years for the Panthers under head coach Rick Lepire... Helped the squad earn four straight playoff appearances... Played in 17 games as a senior and hit .326 with five RBI to help team to a 25-12 record... A honorable mention all-league pick as a junior in 2008 after hitting .327 with a homer and 18 RBI... Also hit .310 with three homers and 22 RBI as a sophomore.
