Sophomore (2010): An honorable mention All-Big 12 honoree as he tied for second in school history with nine wins... Also tied for first in school history with 16 starts... Started the season 8-0 after leading K-State to its first ever home win over a No. 1 team, throwing six innings and allowing one run on seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts to earn the victory against Texas on May 7... His six strikeouts came on the heels of a seven-strikeout performance at No. 15 Oklahoma... Tallied at least four strikeouts on eight different occasions, including six against Washington State in the NCAA Regional on June 4... Registered a team high six quality starts... Shut down Baylor on April 17 as he allowed one run on one hit with three strikeouts in six innings of work... Started season on a high note as he tossed a K-State season high 8.1 innings at The Citadel, allowing just one run on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts... Lowered ERA to 1.53 after allowing just one run over 15 innings on six combined hits against Harvard and Kent State on March 13.

Allowed 30 earned runs on 46 hits with 14 walks and 29 strikeouts in 32.1 innings... Retired 9-of-13 (.682) first batters faced... Did not allow an earned run in his first five appearances, totaling 7.1 innings... Tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in his collegiate debut at Houston, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out three... Tossed two scoreless innings with two strikeouts against both Niagara and Butler... Allowed three earned runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in four innings in his first collegiate start against UTSA... Galesburg HS: Lettered and started four years for the Silver Streaks under head coach Arnold Gonzalez... Earned a career 23-5 record, including three straight seven-win campaigns as a sophomore, junior and senior... Led team to a regional championship in 2006 as he recorded a school-record low 0.58 ERA... Also holds the school's record for career wins and career strikeouts... Named all-conference his sophomore through senior seasons and was selected to play for the Chicago White Sox team for the Mariner Cup in Seattle, Wash... Was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays.
