A tall right-hander who took advantage of a redshirt year in 2009 and became a regular starter down the stretch of 2010... Battling for a weekend starting spot for the second straight season.

Sophomore (2010): Returned to the starting rotation after redshirting the 2009 season... Started 12 games, including six in Big 12 play... Earned a 4-4 record and a 6.06 ERA, allowing 44 earned runs on 73 hits with 23 walks and 47 strikeouts in 65.1 innings... Earned a seven-inning complete game shutout against Kent State on March 14, allowing five hits and two walks, while striking out five... Pitched K-State to a win against Baylor on April 18 as he allowed one unearned run on two hits with two walks and a pair of strikeouts in 6.1 innings... Came back with a predetermined pitch-count win in his next start against Chicago State on April 28, allowing a run on one hit in three innings of work... Teamed with Matt Applegate, Tyler Sturges and Jake Doller to limit the Cougars to three hits, the first combined three-hitter since 2007... Struck out a career high nine batters against Texas on May 9... Was effective at Texas A&M on May 23 when he allowed two runs on four hits with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

Sophomore (2009): Redshirt season... Named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Freshman (2008): Appeared in 12 games, including half in conference play, during his rookie season... Pitched 15.1 innings, allowing 21 hits, seven earned runs, seven walks and recording 12 strikeouts... Averaged 7.04 strikeouts per nine innings... Slammed the door on the opposition 16-of-20 times he pitched with two outs... Threw 6.1 scoreless innings in his first three appearances of the season... Also ended the season without allowing an earned run over his final four games... Struck out a season-high three batters against Le Moyne on March 8... Also recorded three-strikeout games against Creighton on March 26 and Baylor on April 13.

Hamilton HS: A four-year letterwinner for the Huskies under head coach Mike Woods... Was one of the top arms on a squad that went 20-12 in 2007... Earned all-regional honorable mention honors... Participated in the Team One West Showcase where he was named among the top pitchers and power hitters... Also invited to try out for the prestigious Area Code League as a member of the Angels squad.

Personal: Justin Louis Lindsey was born Aug. 22, 1988, in Mesa, Ariz... Son of Clint and Gina Lindsey... Has an older sister, Kristin... Earned an academic letter his freshman and sophomore years... Enjoys hunting and fishing... Majoring in social science.
