Barton County CC: Played one season for the Cougars under head coach Mike Warren... A Second Team All-Jayhawk Conference selection as a pitcher, but was also a designated hitter... Earned a 5-4 record and a 2.11 ERA, allowing 15 earned runs on 44 hits with 32 walks and 77 strikeouts in 64.0 innings of work... Started 11 games on the season, recording three complete games and one complete-game shutout... Held opponents to a .194 batting average... Held a 1.20 ERA through his first nine starts, allowing seven earned runs in 52.1 innings... Hit .378 (34-for-90) with three doubles, one home run and 21 RBI.
Colby HS: Lettered three years for the Eagles under head coach Kevin Cox... Went 11-0 with a 1.87 ERA during his senior campaign, leading Colby to a 24-2 record and its first ever trip to the state championship...
