Friday’s loss drops K-State to 3-3 in their last six games. It is the second straight loss in a Friday game for K-State after the Wildcats fell 11-4 to Oklahoma on March 21 in Norman, Okla.

 

K-State is now 2-8 in road games this season and 5-10 in games away from Manhattan (3-2 in neutral games).

 

Ross Kivett went 2-for-3 on Friday, extending his season-high hitting streak to 11 games. The senior is batting .467 (21-for-45) with five doubles, a triple, a home run and 12 RBI in the last 11 games. The 11-game hitting streak is tied for the longest by a K-State hitter this season.

 

Kivett also extended his on-base streak to a career-high 23 games. He has a .509 on-base percentage during the streak.

 

RJ Santigate extended his hitting and on-base streaks to 10 and 17 games, respectively, after he went 1-for-5 on Friday. During his 17-game on-base streak, Santigate has a .419 OBP, and during his 10-game hitting streak, Santigate is batting .447 (17-for-38).

 

Tanner DeVinny extended his career-high hitting streak to 10 games by going 1-for-5 on Friday. DeVinny is hitting .344 (11-for-32) with five walks and 11 RBI over the 10-game stretch.

 

Kivett’s second hit on Friday was a single in the ninth inning, which moved him into first place in K-State history with 189 career singles. Kivett entered Friday tied with Craig Wilson for first in program history with 188 career singles. Kivett has 241 total hits in his career, the seventh-most in K-State history.

 

Shane Conlon was hit by a pitch on Friday. It was the 25th time in his career he has been hit by a pitch, which is tied for ninth in program history.

 

Blair DeBord went 2-for-4 on Friday, his second straight multi-hit game. The senior catcher is 5-for-9 (.556) with a double and two RBI in the last two games. DeBord has also reached base safely in six straight games.

 

K-State left 11 runners on base on Friday, its second straight game of stranding 11 runners. The Wildcats have stranded double-digit runners on base in six of their last nine games. Over that nine-game stretch, K-State is 6-3. The Wildcats are 6-4 for the entire season when they strand 10 or more runners in a game.
