MANHATTAN, Kan.
– Excitement continues to build toward the start of the 2011 Kansas State baseball season as season tickets for the 31-game home schedule remain available at the K-State Athletics Ticket office and online at www.k-statesports.com, including three attractive season ticket options in different price ranges and stadium locations.

Reserved chairback seats in the lower bowl in Sections 1, 2 and 3 and Section 7 above the concourse behind home plate are priced at $125, a great value at about $4 per game. Fans who order four or more season tickets in those sections receive a discounted price of $100 each.

General Admission chairback seating in Sections 6 and 8 above the concourse are available for $115, while those who order four or more tickets in those sections can also take advantage of the discount of $100 each.

Kansas State faculty and staff may purchase season tickets in either the reserved chairback or the GA chairback areas for $100 per season ticket.

Season tickets in the GA bench areas, located in Sections 4, 5, 9 and 10 behind each dugout, can be purchased for $85 for adults and $75 for youth, senior citizens, military personnel and K-State faculty and staff. Adults who purchase four or more season tickets in those sections receive a $10 discount per seat.

Fans can take advantage of an Early Bird Special until January 14. The package includes a free t-shirt, two complimentary GA tickets to a game in March, entry into a drawing to throw a first pitch or enjoy a suite for a game and $10 off the total purchase of season tickets.

The excitement of Kansas State baseball has grown over the past few seasons as the Wildcats ranked 36th nationally last season in average attendance at 1,813 fans per game. The Wildcats also finished second in the Big 12 by reaching 73.5 percent of its stadium capacity throughout the 2010 season.

“Our fans have really jumped on board with our program,” said head coach Brad Hill. “Between our marketing department, ticket sales and season ticket committee, I think the word is getting out about our program. Our stadium is as good as it gets in the Big 12 as far as atmosphere. When you come out you enjoy it, it’s clean, it’s a fresh atmosphere and I think we’ve put a good product on the field the past three or four years. Fans come out and they enjoy watching what we’re doing, and the Big 12 is one of the best conferences in the country.”

The 2011 baseball season opens on Friday, February 18 with a three-game series at Pacific. The home slate begins on March 4 with a four-game weekend series against Western Illinois.

To purchase season or single-game tickets, fans can visit the K-State Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum, order by phone at (800) 221-CATS or visit www.kstatesports.com/tickets.
