MANHATTAN, Kan. - Ross Kivett garnered his third preseason All-American honor of the season as Perfect Game named the K-State second baseman to its Preseason College All-American First Team.

Kivett is only the second Wildcat to earn three preseason All-American nods in one season since 2008, joining Nick Martini in 2011. A native of Broadview Heights, Ohio, Kivett has also been named to the Preseason All-American First Team for the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball.

Kivett, the 2013 Big 12 Player of the Year, was the only Big 12 player on Perfect Game's Preseason All-American First Team. TCU pitcher Brandon Finnegan was named to the organization's second team.

The Wildcats, featuring 19 returning lettermen from last season's Big 12 championship-winning team, start the 2014 campaign on February 14 at Cal Poly before playing their first home game at Tointon Family Stadium on February 28 against Milwaukee. Season tickets for K-State's 28 home games can be purchased now by calling 1-800-221-CATS, visiting www.k-statesports.com/tickets, or visiting the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at Bramlage Coliseum.
