MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-StateHD.TV and Kansas State’s television partners will produce 31 live broadcasts of Wildcat baseball games in 2012, while the entire 56-game schedule can be heard online or locally on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN, K-State Athletics and K-State Sports Properties announced Wednesday.
Seven games will be televised to a regional or national audience, including two selected as part of the Big 12’s television contract with FSN and ESPN. The Wildcats will host Oklahoma State on April 29 at 12 p.m., on ESPNU in their first appearance on the Big 12 package, and then close out the regular season at Texas Tech on FSN at 1 p.m., on May 19.
Through K-State’s partnership with Fox Sports Kansas City and Kansas 22, four home games will be televised to a regional audience. Fox Sports Kansas City will carry the Wildcats’ game against Baylor on April 14, as well as the home finale on May 13 against Kansas. Kansas 22 will show a pair of games against K-State’s in-state rivals as it will broadcast the April 24 game against Wichita State and the series opener against Kansas on May 11. Also, the Wildcats’ game at San Diego State on February 23 will be carried on The Mtn.
Additionally, every other home game will be shown world-wide on K-StateHD.TV, K-State’s high-definition online digital network. Subscriptions to the service cost $9.95 per month and $79.95 per year. Other dates include: April 3 vs. Nebraska, April 13 vs. Baylor, April 27 vs. Oklahoma State and May 12 vs. Kansas.
The Wildcats may have additional television appearances as a part of other school’s third-tier television rights.
For the second-straight year, audio broadcasts from every game during the season will be available on either SportsRadio 1350 KMAN in Manhattan, online at www.k-statesports.com or www.1350kman.com, or on the K-State Sports Network. Some early-season games may not be aired on KMAN due to conflicts with men’s and women’s basketball, but will be available online.
