2013 Baseball Schedule
Fourteen home games are slated to be shown to a regional or national television audience. Two games will be broadcast by Fox Sports Midwest (and can also be seen on K-StateHD.TV) as the network will televise the March 20 contest against Minnesota and the April 2 game against Nebraska, a contest that will also be simulcast on Fox College Sports. Additionally, Cox Communications’ Kansas 22 will broadcast three home games to a statewide audience as it will pick up the April 9 game against Wichita State, the April 27 matchup against Big 12 newcomer TCU and the May 17 tilt with Oklahoma.
K-StateHD.TV on Fox College Sports will broadcast 10 games to a national audience. Those games include: March 19 vs. Minnesota, March 26 vs. Nebraska, April 2 vs. Nebraska (simulcast on Fox Sports Midwest), April 3 vs. Nebraska Omaha, April 5-7 against Texas Tech, April 28 vs. TCU and May 18 and 19 vs. Oklahoma. All 10 games can be viewed on either FCS or K-StateHD.TV.
Every other home game will be shown world-wide exclusively on K-StateHD.TV, K-State’s high-definition online digital network. Subscriptions to the service cost $9.95 per month and $79.95 per year. K-State Gameday, a pregame show featuring former All-American Craig Wilson, will air six times throughout the season beginning prior to the Wildcats’ home opener against Oakland on March 1. Other shows include: March 15 vs. West Virginia, March 26 vs. Nebraska, April 5 vs. Texas Tech, April 26 vs. TCU and May 18 vs. Oklahoma.
In addition, the April 16 contest at Wichita State will be shown on Kansas 22 as part of the Shockers’ television package, while the entire series at Texas, May 3-5, is available on the Longhorn Network.
For a third-straight season, audio broadcasts of every regular-season and postseason contest can be heard on either SportsRadio 1350 KMAN, online at both www.k-statesports.com and www.1350kman.com, or across the K-State Sports Network. Some early season contests may not be aired on KMAN due to conflicts with men’s and women’s basketball, but those games will still be made available online.
The K-State Sports Network will air five regular-season broadcasts and all postseason games. The regular-season games slated to be on the network are March 26 vs. Nebraska, April 5 vs. Texas Tech, April 9 vs. Wichita State, April 26 vs. TCU and May 17 vs. Oklahoma. Affiliates carrying K-State baseball for the 2013 season will be announced at a later date.
