MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State baseball team has added a game against Omaha on Tuesday, March 25 at Tointon Family Stadium, K-State Athletics officials announced. The game, which will start at 6:30 pm, completes K-State’s 56-game schedule for the 2014 season.
K-State was down a game in its schedule due to the March 2 contest at Abilene Christian being canceled after forecasts of rain and near-freezing temperatures. The cancellation at Abilene Christian followed the originally scheduled three-game home series against Milwaukee being canceled, also due to weather.
The game will be the third scheduled contest against The Summit League’s Mavericks in 2014. In addition to tonight and March 25, K-State and Omaha will face each other at Werner Park, home of Minor League Baseball’s Omaha Storm Chasers, in Papillion, Neb. on Tuesday, April 1.
Season ticket holders may bring their ticket for the originally scheduled home game against Milwaukee from March 2 and redeem it for a ticket to the March 25 Omaha game. Those who have already used the Milwaukee ticket in the rollover program can visit any Tointon Family Stadium ticket window on March 25 to receive a ticket for admission to the game against Omaha.
General admission tickets for the March 25 game start at $8 for adults and $5 for children.
The game will also be broadcast by K-StateHD.TV on FOX College Sports and heard online at k-statesports.com.
The Wildcats are currently in the midst of a nine-game homestand. After tonight’s contest against Omaha, K-State will face Northern Colorado in a three-game series from March 14-16.
