MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the fourth-straight weekend, weather has forced Kansas State to make changes to its baseball schedule as the Wildcats and Bethune-Cookman will now play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 1 p.m., at Tointon Family Stadium.
Game two of the series will be played approximately 40 minutes following the conclusion of game one on Friday. Saturday’s 2 p.m., contest now serves as the series finale, but if the game is unable to be played due to weather, the teams will conclude the series with a 1 p.m., first pitch on Sunday.
The pregame tailgate on the southwest lawn of the stadium grounds will be held at 12 p.m., on Friday and 1 p.m., on Saturday, weather permitting. Pregame tailgates feature live music and various food and beverage items. Friday is Local Business Night as $3 general admission tickets are available to local businesses with an online promo code. Saturday is also a Team/Camper Day.
Tickets are available through the K-State Athletics ticket office online at www.k-statesports.com/tickets, by phone at 1-800-221-CATS or at the Tointon Family Stadium box office beginning one hour prior to first pitch.
All three games of the series will be shown on K-StateHD.TV. The first game of Friday’s doubleheader can be heard exclusively online at both www.k-statesports.com and www.1350kman.com. SportsRadio 1350 KMAN will join the second game of the twin bill in progress following coverage of the men’s basketball NCAA Tournament game against La Salle.
