MANHATTAN, Kan. - With the 2014 K-State baseball season approaching, Wildcats fans have shown unprecedented support for the defending Big 12 Champions as the first deadline for season tickets approaches later this week.
Season tickets have already reached an all-time high and are up by more than 350 tickets from this time last year.
The Early Bird deadline for season tickets is Friday, December 13. Fans that purchase season tickets by this date will receive one Big 12 Championship commemorative coin per account and have the $10 season ticket processing fee waived.
The Priority Deadline is Friday, January 24, which means fans who purchase their season tickets by this date will be seated in athletic department priority point order. Priority points are accumulated through annual Ahearn Fund membership donations and all season ticket purchases.
For the 2014 season, the general public can purchase Cat Cushion season tickets for only $100 per seat. A purchase four or more season tickets in the Cat Cushion seating area reduces the price for each seat to $50 for the entire season, which is more than 30% off 2013 pricing and less than $2 per game. K-State faculty and staff have the opportunity to purchase Cat Cushion season tickets for $75 each.
Also in 2014, all chairback seating will be sold on a reserved seat basis. Reserved chairback seating will be available in sections 1, 2, 6, 7 and 8 at Tointon Family Stadium for as little as $4 a game. General public season tickets in reserved chairbacks are $150 each, K-State faculty and staff season tickets are $125 each, and fans that purchase four or more season tickets receive a price of $100 per seat.
To purchase season tickets through the Athletics Ticket Office, fans can visit kstatesports.com/tickets, call toll free 1-800-221-CATS (2287) or purchase in-person at Bramlage Coliseum.
The full 2014 schedule has not been released yet, but home games include opponents such as Texas, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa, Nebraska, Wichita State and Sunflower Showdown rival, KU. The home schedule begins in late February.
