With such a reputation for excellence, it's no surprise that K-State's enrollment has surged to an all-time high in recent years. Every county in the state, every state in the nation and numerous countries from around the world are represented by students attending K-State.
The $650 million research facility will provide the country with an urgently needed, state-of-the-art lab to protect the food supply
and agriculture economy.
Construction was also recently completed on K-State's $53.4 million Biosecurity Research Institute, making the University a national leader in the fight against bio terrorism.

Kansas State junior third baseman Jason King has been named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America Baseball third team, the College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) announced Tuesday.
The Dublin, Ohio, product earned his first academic all-America designation and it is the first for the Wildcats since Brett Scott was named to the second team in 2008. King is just the 10th player in school history to be named an academic all-American. The marketing major, who recently was named First Team Academic All-Big 12, holds a 3.96 GPA.
On the field, King has been one of the Wildcats top players. He ended the regular season with a .311 batting average, 10 home runs and 56 RBI. As the Wildcats enter play in the 2011 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on Wednesday, King ranks in the top 10 of the Big 12 in seven areas, including top-five marks in home runs, doubles, triples, RBI, total bases and slugging percentage.
To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
