Signature Games Playing in just his third career game, Thomas played a pivotal role in the win over No.6 Oklahoma State (1/4/14) in the Big 12 opener, totaling 8 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench. In his first career game after sitting out the Fall semester, Thomas led the team in both assists (4) and steals (3) against Tulane (12/28/13) to go with 2 points and 2 rebounds in 19 minutes.
As A Freshman (2013-14) Saw action in 21 games as a freshman, beginning with the Tulane game (12/28/13)... Ranked first among all reserves in minutes at 16.3 per game. Played 20 or more minutes in eight contests, including a season-best 32 vs. West Virginia (1/18/14)... All eight came in his first 10 games played. Averaged 2.5 points on 24.6 percent shooting (17-of-69), including 16.7 percent (2-of-12) from 3-point range, with 2.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 16.3 minutes per game... Connected on just 34.7 percent (17-of-49) from the free throw line. Registered the fourth-highest assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5) since the 1982-83 season and ranked second on the team to Will Spradling (2.79)... Had 1 turnover or less in 14 of 21 games played. Ranked fifth on the team in assists (55) despite playing just in 21 games... His 2.6 assists per game average was the second-highest on the team. Scored in 15 games with a season-high 9 points at Kansas (1/11/14). Grabbed at least 1 rebound in 18 games, including a season-best 4 on four occasions. Led the team in assists on seven occasions, including a season-high 8 vs. West Virginia (1/18/14)... Dished out at least 2 assists in 13 games. Recorded 10 assists with zero turnovers in his first two career games, including 6 in a pivotal win over NCAA Tournament participant George Washington (12/31/13). Was the steals leader in five games, including a season-high 3 vs. Tulane (12/28/13). Saw action in 17 Big 12 games... Ranked second among reserves in minutes with 17.2 per outing... Averaged 2.9 points on 25.4 percent shooting (15-of-59) in league-only contests with 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game... His 45 assists placed third on the team. Summer 2013 Traveled to Vilnius and Klaipeda, Lithuania with Athletes in Action from August 6-19... The team posted a 4-1 record. Averaged 13.6 points on 47.2 percent shooting (26-of-55) with 4.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game during the tour... Started four games, averaging 28.4 minutes per game. Scored in double figures in three games, including a tour-high 23 points in a 103-92 win over Siauliai (8/17/13)... Poured in 20 points in a win over Baltai (8/12/13). Dished out at least 3 assists in all five games, including a tour-best 8 vs. Neptunas (8/15/13).
High School Rated as No. 22 and No. 26 point guard in nation by Scout.com and Rivals.com, respectively. Played one season at St. John's Northwest Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin. Named most outstanding player of the 2013 National Prep School Invitational in Providence, Rhode Island, from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 after averaging 17 points and 8 assists per game... Posted 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the team's first-round upset of St. Thomas More (Conn.)... Also tallied 8 points and 8 assists in a win over Notre Dame (Mass.) Prep... Scored a tournament-high 26 points in a loss to Worcester (Mass.) Academy. Averaged 15 points and 7 assists in his lone season at St. John's Northwest. Performed well at the Best Western Plus Caisson Shootout in Waynesboro, Va., posting 38 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists against power Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy. Played at Quality Education Academy in Winston-Salem, N.C., for head coach Isaiah F. Pitts, alongside current teammate Brandon Bolden... Helped the Fighting Pharoahs to a 23-6 overall record and a 10-1 league mark... Team had a perfect 12-0 mark at home and a nine-game winning streak in 2011-12... Also led the school to a No. 7 rank in the state of North Carolina... Averaged 16 points and 12 assists per game as a senior. Played as Our Savior New American High School in Centereach, New York.
