MANHATTAN, Kan. – Jamar Samuels had a memorable senior day, recording his 13th career double-double and leading Kansas State to a 77-58 victory over Oklahoma State. Samuels scored 17 points and brought down 12 rebounds in his final game in Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats (21-9, 10-8) fell behind early after Keiton Page knocked down three consecutive 3-pointers to give the Cowboys (14-17, 7-11) a 15-9 early lead. K-State battled back and was able to tie the game after a 6-0 run finished with a Jordan Henriquez dunk. Both teams would trade baskets with neither team building a lead bigger than seven points before halftime. Free throws from Angel Rodriguez gave the Wildcats the lead for good as K-State went into the halftime leading 40-33.
Page hit another 3-pointer to open the second half to help the Cowboys close the lead to four points, but an 18-4 run capped off by a Rodney McGruder lay-up sealed the victory for the Wildcats. McGruder led all scorers with 24 points while Henriquez added 16 and contributed eight rebounds. Page paced the Cowboys with 22.
