MANHATTAN, Kan. - After clinching the school's first league title since 1977, Kansas State will hold a special Big 12 Championship celebration for Wildcat fans at 6 p.m. Monday at Bramlage Coliseum.

The event, which will also air live world-wide on K-StateHD.TV, is open to the general public with doors to the northwest and northeast entrances of the arena opening at 5:30 p.m.  Due to West Stadium Center construction traffic, fans are encouraged to utilize Gate 1 on College Avenue when parking on the west side of Bramlage Coliseum or park on the east side of the arena.  Seating will be open on both the east and west sides of Bramlage Coliseum.

Emceed by the Voice of the Wildcats, Wyatt Thompson, the celebration will include a celebratory net-cutting ceremony, performances by the K-State pep band and spirit groups and Willie Wildcat followed by remarks from university president Kirk Schulz, athletics director John Currie, head coach Bruce Weber and seniors Jordan Henriquez, Martavious Irving and Rodney McGruder.

Big 12 Championship merchandise will be available for purchase at the Cat's Closet on the concourse. The concessions stand on the west side concourse will also have popcorn, candy and soft drinks available for purchase.

The No. 9/10 Wildcats (25-6, 14-4 Big 12) finished the regular season with the most wins in school history and just their fifth 25-win season, while the 14 conference wins tie the 1958-59 teams for the most in school history.  A favorite for Big 12 Coach of the Year honors, Weber set the school record for wins by a first-year head coach, while McGruder is one of 30 candidates for the Naismith Men's College Player of the Year Award.  The three-man senior class also became the winningest class in school history with 99 victories.

K-State has enjoyed unprecedented success in 2012-13 with conference championships in both men's basketball and football, a feat that has only been accomplished two other times in Big 12 Conference history.  In fact, K-State is now the 11th Bowl Championship Series (BCS) school since 1996 to win league titles in both football and men's basketball during the same season.  As of Sunday, the 36 combined wins between the two sports can only be topped by Louisville (37) during the 2012-13 season.

As the No. 2 seed, K-State earned a bye to the quarterfinals of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.  The Wildcats will play the winner of Wednesday's match-up between No. 7 seed Texas (15-16) and No. 10 seed TCU (11-20) at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
