Season Ticket Waiting List Application
MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Looking to build on the success of an unprecedented five consecutive 20-win seasons and five straight postseason appearances, K-State Athletics announced today official ticket information for the 2011-12 men’s basketball season.
In addition to season-ticket details, the department also announced information about its games with West Virginia in the Wichita Wildcat Classic at INTRUST Bank Arena on Thursday, Dec. 8 as well as Alabama in the Hy-Vee Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Season-ticket holders may begin renewing their accounts on Monday, June 20 online at www.kstatesports.com or by calling the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 221.CATS, while renewal invoices and season-ticket pricing brochures will be mailed to season-ticket holders on Monday, June 27. Season-ticket holders will have until Monday, Aug. 15 to arrange payment and retain their seats for the 2011-12 season.
Fans who purchase tickets online before the Friday, July 15 early-bird deadline will receive a $10 discount off the $25 season processing fee and will be enrolled in a drawing for several prizes, including an official Denis Clemente game jersey and a panoramic photo of Bramlage Coliseum autographed by Frank Martin. Early-bird renewals paid in full online using the e-check payment method will also receive an additional $15 savings off in processing fee.
A variety of ticket packages are available for the 2011-12 season. Courtside and floor seating can be purchased at $645 and $595, respectively, while chairback seating prices range from $445 to $545. Cat Cushion seating is available from $365 to $395 and bench seating is $345. Faculty and staff seating can be purchased starting at $276 for bench, $316 for Cat Cushions and $356 for chairbacks. There are also a limited number of a Young Alumni packages priced at $200, which are available for all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (May 2007 to May 2011). An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, chairback and cushioned seating. Specific required giving levels by section are listed at www.AhearnFund.com.
Fans who do not currently hold season tickets are encouraged to sign up for the waiting list. Those interested in obtaining new season tickets may complete a new season-ticket application at www.kstatesports.com or may contact the athletics ticket office at (800) 221.CATS.
Wait-list requests will be processed after the ticket office has completed renewals and seating upgrade requests from current season-ticket holders. New season-ticket requests will be handled utilizing the K-State Priority Points system which rewards fans for their history of season ticket purchases and contributions to the Ahearn Fund. All requests are based on seat availability and specific locations are not guaranteed. Ticket office representatives should begin contacting new season ticket applicants in mid-September with available seating options.
Payment plans for season-ticket purchases by credit card are available, including a six-month payment option for fans purchasing tickets by July 1. Orders by Aug. 1 may be enrolled in a five-month payment plan, while a four-month payment plan is available through the seating priority deadline of Aug. 15. Credit card payment plans can be coordinated through the online renewal applications at www.kstatesports.com, or by calling the athletics ticket office for both renewal and wait-list accounts.
Although not included in the season-ticket package, season-ticket holders and Ahearn Fund members will have the opportunity to pre-order priority seating for both the Dec. 8 game with West Virginia at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita as well as the Dec. 17 contest with Alabama at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. All orders made through the athletics ticket office prior to the Aug. 15 season ticket renewal deadline will be seated in order of athletics department priority points, while season ticket holder discounts will be available through Aug. 15 on select seats for the game at the Sprint Center.
The Wildcats were a tough ticket in 2010-11, attracting 12,652 fans per game to 18 home games to rank 26th nationally and third in the Big 12. In all, K-State drew 200,000 or more fans for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The team also had 18,422 fans witness the UNLV game at the Sprint Center.
Kansas State made its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last four seasons in 2010-11, as the Wildcats compiled a 23-11 overall record and earned a tie for third place in the Big 12 standings with a 10-6 mark. It marked the school’s fifth consecutive 20-win season and fifth straight trip to the postseason, both firsts for the program. The squad will return seven lettermen, including three starters, in 2011-12.
Although the full schedule is yet not available, the school will play 18 games in the region, including 16 in the friendly confines of Bramlage Coliseum, where the Wildcats have won nearly 90 percent of their games (59-9, .868) under Frank Martin. The 2011-12 season will also be debut of the new 18-game Big 12 Conference schedule, in which, every team in the new 10-team league will make a trip to Manhattan.
