K-State Athletics MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox set for a 7:15 p.m. CT start at Busch Stadium.

Weber will also join the veteran Cardinals’ radio team of Mike Shannon and John Rooney prior to the game at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Wildcat fans in the St. Louis area can purchase tickets to Tuesday’s game via the Cardinals’ website at http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com.

Entering his third season at K-State, Weber has guided the school to a 47-21 (.691) overall record en route to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2013 Big 12 Championship, the first basketball title since 1977. The squad is coming off yet another successful campaign in 2013-14, as the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the school-record fifth consecutive season with a 20-13 overall record and 10-8 mark in Big 12 play.

Weber’s Wildcats are set to return nine lettermen, including five players with starting experience, in 2014-15 to go along with Division I transfers Justin Edwards and Brandon Bolden. The group is headlined by All-Big 12 Second Team selection Marcus Foster (15.5 ppg., 3.2 rpg.) and honorable mention pick Thomas Gipson (11.7 ppg., 6.5 rpg.). Overall, the team returns more than 70 percent of its scoring and 65 percent of its rebounding.
