MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State fans will get their first glimpse of the 2011-12 men’s basketball team on Saturday, when it holds a public scrimmage for fans from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum prior to the Oklahoma football game.

Doors to the northwest and northeast entrances of Bramlage Coliseum will open at 12:15 p.m.  Seating will be available on the west side of the arena.  Due to the football game, the east and west parking lots at Bramlage Coliseum will be reserved for donors to the Ahearn Scholarship Fund holding football parking passes.  Public parking at satellite areas surrounding the Sports Complex is available for $15.  All parking lots will open at 9:30 a.m.

Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to bring a “Welcome Back” donation item for the USO at Fort Riley.  These items include individually-wrapped, non-perishable snacks, wash cloths and individually-wrapped toothbrushes and will be used to create homecoming kits.  There will be collection boxes located inside the gates near the entrances for fans to drop-off their donation items.  The men’s basketball team has a partnership with the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment at Fort Riley, which just last week returned from a year-long deployment.

The scrimmage will be carried live on K-StateHD.TV, the exclusive high-definition online network for Kansas State University and Wildcat Athletics.  Fans can subscribe to the network for $9.95 per month or $79.95 for the entire year.  To visit the home of K-StateHD.TV, or to subscribe to the service, visit www.k-statehd.tv.

A limited number of season ticket locations remain for the 2011-12 season.  During Saturday’s scrimmage, available seats will be marked in sections 3, 4, 8 and 9 of Bramlage Coliseum with members of the Fan Experience and Sales staff available to assist fans with season ticket purchases.  Tickets are priced between $445 and $495 each and require an Ahearn Fund donation of $650 or $975 per seat.

A five-game mini-plan is currently on sale to men’s basketball season ticket holders and Ahearn Fund donors.  Tickets are priced at $305 each and include two non-conference home games, a conference weeknight game, a conference weekend game and the game with Kansas on Feb. 13.  Single-game tickets for the KU game are not expected to be available to the public.  For more information on these ticketing opportunities, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 221.CATS or go online at www.kstatesports.com/tickets

Fans will also have the chance to pick up a men’s basketball roster card as well as men’s and women’s basketball team posters and schedule cards on the concourse.

The Wildcats play their lone exhibition game at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6 against Fort Hays State, while the season officially tips off at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11 against Charleston Southern.
