CAREER: An athletic linebacker who contributed on special teams as a junior and improved his production on defense as a senior... Helped the 2014 Senior Class finish with a 38-14 combined record over the last four years, including a Big 12-best 27-9 conference record.

Totaled 57 tackles on the year, including nine for loss to finish second on the team in that department... Recorded over half (29-of-57) of his season tackles during the final five games of the year, including a career-best 10 stops at West Virginia... Also had nine six tackles, including two for loss an interception and two passes defended in his first-career start against Auburn... Earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors following his game against the Tigers... Also had fumble recoveries against Oklahoma State and UCLA in the Alamo Bowl. 2013 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Statistics): Played in eight games, finishing the season sixth on the team with five special teams tackles while he had six stops overall... Recorded a season-high two tackles against Iowa State, a game in which he intercepted a fourth-quarter pass and returned it 39 yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played one season at Mesquite North High School under head coach Mike Robinson... Finished fourth on the team in tackles en route to Second Team All-District 11-5A honors.
PERSONAL: Dakorey Johnson was born January 14, 1992, in Dallas, Texas... Son of Glen and Kristina Johnson... Has four siblings... Older brother, Quincy Morgan, was a star wide receiver for K-State from 1999-2001, and still holds the school's single-season records for touchdowns (14) and ranks in the top-10 in six other categories.
