2001 (Junior) - SECOND TEAM ACADEMIC ALL-BIG 12 SELECTION... Saw action in nine games at quarterback with starts at Texas Tech (10/13) and against Kansas (10/27)... Part of an offense that broke a nearly 50-year-old school record for rushing yards per game with a 257.7 average... The offense ranked fourth nationally both in rushing offense and rushing touchdowns (34)... Ranked third on the team in total offense with a 75.9 per game average... Collected 683 total yards on 159 plays on the year with all but 48 yards coming through the air... Completed 55 of 112 passes for 635 yards with four touchdowns and eight interceptions... Tops among QBs with a 49.1 completion percentage...

Box Elder HS - Lettered three seasons and started for two at Box Elder HS in Brigham City, Utah... Led his high school team to the 4-A State Football Championship in 1995, which he lists as one of his greatest sports thrills...Was named the Utah State 4-A MVP that year...
